I purchased prestige pressure cooker for two reasons one because I was looking for the wider opening so that it is easy to stir the veggies … and want to get experience apart from hawkins pressure cooker…after using this product I feel hawkins is better option because this one is little heavier than hawkins maybe because of it’s shape, it takes more time for cooking and the vessel sound is very low you have to be in and around the cooking area, but overall one can go for it..

This is 3.5 liter is a tall pressure cooker, twice the height of 2 liter stainless pressure cooker. Base width or diameter is same for both and only the height differs. The lid between 2 lit and this 3.5 lit can be interchanged.
Rice cooking: One can cook 1 to 1 1/2 cups (240 ml) rice comfortably. Unfortunately bottom rice becomes porridge and sticky despite less water.
Potato/ Roots steaming: One can steam 1.5 to 2 pounds of potato/ roots right away.
Lentils cooking: One can steam 0.66 to 0.75 pounds lentils.
Good for steaming 1.5 to 2 pounds peanuts, chickpeas, lima beans, etc.
Good for making sambhar/ kuzhambu gravy in large quantity.
Overall, it is a decent pressure cooker.
