We bought a used unit from amazon warehouse but to be honest this looks brand new at the half price. Being a stainless steel pressure cooker its totally dishwasher safe. I prefer stainless steel also because in some studies excess use of aluminium has been linked to numerological diseases like alzheimer.

Having used only Prestige cookers for decades, the quality of this one is no diffeeent. The shape and size is perfect for daily use for preparing rice and dal for a small family.

Going to hawkins after 2 years of use – sometimes ( exactly when hard pressed for time) it releases water and steam oozes out causing more work- lid is loose
