It always burns rice in 1 whistle.. quality not good at all.. as i have already used i cant return, bit without using how would i know whether its working properly or not.. i wish i could return..

Still going strong, no issues!

I needed a larger pressure cooker after my IP simply stopped working. I’ve used a smaller one on an induction cooktop, but got out of the habit with the IP.

This is a well made unit, with an inward curved top that makes it easy to rinse beans, etc, pour off the water without spilling the contents.

For pinto beans I soak minimally or not at all. With the top off, I set the induct. ion plate to high just long enough to see the very beginning of a boil. Then I drop down the temp to low, cover and walk away. No hissing, nothing but well cooked beans in a couple of hours, maybe less. You will need to calibrate for your heat source, but I bet it will be shorter than expected. The extensive cookbook is designed for folk in India. Apparently people there READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, as they are detailed and important. Parts available! A respected manufacturer for decades, not some fly-by-night importer.
